Connect Google Search Console to Google Sheets

It is very simple to connect Google Search Console to Google Sheets, it can be done in a fast and easy manner with Windsor.ai.

 

First Step:

You need to select Google Search Console as a Data Source and click “Grant Search Console Access”, then you will prompted to authenticate and then redirected back here.

And then your Google Search Console properties will appear.

Second step:

Once you select the data source, click the “Next (Data Preview Button)” or “Preview and Destination”

So now it is time to select the fields or the metrics and dimensions you would like to have available in Google Sheets.

Third Step:

You can choose between two options:


 

Option 1: Advanced and for large data volumes
  1. Click this link to install the Google Sheets add-on
  2. Go to Extension – Ad Data and Analytics by Windsor.ai – Login
  3. Enter your API key: [your API Key] and click Login
  4. Start using the add-on in Google Sheets from the Add-ons menu in Extension – Ad Data and Analytics by Windsor.ai – Get Data into Sheet in Google Sheets document and select your fields

 

Option 2: Quickstart
  • Copy the snippet below into your Google Sheet. Only works for fast queries below 60 seconds, use the add-on in case of issues.
  • The URL works as an API data feed and the fields can be adjusted with the parameters in the URL.
  • You can add any field that is available in the data sources you have added.

    =IMPORTDATA(“https://connectors.windsor.ai/searchconsole?api_key=[your API Key]&date_preset=last_28d&fields=account_name,clicks,date&_renderer=googlesheets")

    and replace  [your API Key] with your API key. The list of selected fields must contain a date field. The fields which are listed after &fields= are simply a set of standard fields which you can customise. How to export data from Search Console to Google Sheets manually

Manually transferring data from Google Search Console to Google Sheets can be done through the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Google Search Console account.
  2. Select the specific website property from which you wish to export data.
  3. On the overview page or the left sidebar, navigate to the various report categories. Click on the desired report category you wish to export; for example, we clicked on search results under the performance category.
  4. Customize the date range and other parameters based on your requirements.
  5. At the top of the page, click on the Export button. You will be presented with three export options.
  6. Choose the Google Sheets option from the drop-down menu, and your data will be automatically loaded into your Sheets. Alternatively, you can opt for the Download CSV option and then upload the file to Google Sheets.
