How to connect your first data source in Windsor.ai
To connect a data source, open onboard.windsor.ai, pick the platform in the left sidebar, give Windsor.ai access and select the accounts you want data from. You can then preview the data and send it to Claude, ChatGPT, a spreadsheet, a dashboard or a database.
You do not need to register first. If you connect a data source before you have an account, Windsor.ai creates the account for you.
Connecting a data source is free: Windsor.ai has a free forever plan, no credit card. Paid plans start at $19/month, billed annually, for 3 data sources (see pricing).
Before you start
- Use a login that can open the account. Windsor.ai lists only the accounts your login on the platform can open. For Google Ads, read-only access is enough for reporting. For Facebook Ads you need access to the ad account itself: access to a Facebook Page alone is not enough.
- Use one Google account per browser window. Being signed in to several Google accounts in the same browser can make the authorization fail. Sign out of the others, or use a separate browser profile for each Google account.
- If a client owns the account, you can send them an authorization link. They sign in to their platform and approve access, and the account appears in your Data Sources.
Step 1: Find your data source
Open onboard.windsor.ai. The left sidebar lists the 350+ data sources. Type the platform’s name in the Type platform name box and click it.
A data source you have already connected shows how many accounts are selected under its name. Tick Show only connected to list only those.

Step 2: Give Windsor.ai access
Platforms connect in one of two ways: you sign in on the platform’s own page, or you enter an API key or other credentials in Windsor.ai.
Sign in on the platform. Platforms such as Google Search Console, Klaviyo and Pinterest Ads show a Grant [platform] Access button. Click it, sign in on the platform’s page and approve the permissions it asks for. You type your password on the platform’s page, and it is not shared with Windsor.ai.

On Google’s permissions screen, tick the permission for the product you are connecting, or Select all. If Facebook says you logged in to Windsor.ai before, click Edit previous settings to choose the Pages: Continue keeps your earlier choice.
Enter an API key or credentials. Some platforms, such as Plausible, connect with an API key or other values from the platform. Fill in the fields and click Add Account. The Help box under the form says where to find each value on the platform. Enter keys only in this form, never in a chat or a support ticket.

Step 3: Select the accounts
After you grant access, Windsor.ai lists every account your login can open, such as each ad account, GA4 property or Search Console property. Tick the accounts you want, or tick Always select all accessible accounts to select all of them. Then click Next.

Each selected account counts toward your plan’s account limit: one Google Ads account, one Facebook ad account or one GA4 property is 1 account. How Windsor.ai counts data sources and accounts has more examples.
Step 4: Preview your data and choose a destination
Next opens Preview and Destination. Choose a date range and fields on the right to preview the data. Under Data Destinations, pick where the data goes: AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, dashboards, spreadsheets, databases or storage.

For Claude, ChatGPT and the other AI assistants you do not need to choose fields. Every field and account is available to the assistant, whatever is ticked in the preview. The guides for Claude and ChatGPT show how to add Windsor.ai to the assistant.
If your account is missing or access fails
- The account is not in the list. The login you used cannot open it, or you were given access after you connected. Google and Meta check permissions at the moment you grant access. Grant access again with a login that can open the account. For a Google Ads manager account, the manager needs access to each client account.
- Google asks for 2-Step Verification or a passkey. Complete it in your Google account, then click the Grant Access button in Windsor.ai again.
- Google authorization fails. Sign out of the other Google accounts in the browser, or use a separate browser profile, and clear the browser’s cache and cookies. See how to fix authentication errors.
- YouTube connects but shows no data. On Google’s account screen, pick the Brand Account shown with your channel name, not your personal Google account.
- A Facebook Page or Instagram account is missing. In Facebook, open Settings & Privacy, then Business Integrations, find Windsor.ai, click View and Edit and select the Pages and accounts. Then go back to Windsor.ai and refresh. See Facebook Page and Instagram connection issues.
- Facebook Ads accounts are missing. Check that your Facebook user has access to the ad accounts in Meta Business Manager, then grant access again. The Facebook Ads setup guide lists the roles that work.
- You cannot find Windsor.ai in the Shopify App Store. Windsor.ai is not installed from the App Store. You create an app for your store in the Shopify Dev Dashboard and enter its Client ID and Client secret in Windsor.ai, as the Shopify configuration guide shows.
- Your platform is not in the list. Search the full list of data sources, and if it is not there, request it on the feature requests board.
If a connection still fails, write to us in the live chat at the bottom right of the app or at [email protected]. Tell us the platform and the error message, but never send passwords or API keys.

FAQs
Does connecting a data source cost anything?
No. The free forever plan needs no credit card. In your first 30 days you can connect up to 10 data sources and 15 accounts, and after that the free plan keeps 1 data source and 1 account with data from the past 30 days. Paid plans start at $19/month (billed annually) for 3 data sources, as the pricing page shows.
Does Windsor.ai see my password for Google or Facebook?
No. For platforms that use a sign-in, you type your password on the platform’s own page and approve access there. For platforms that use an API key, the key you enter in the Windsor.ai form is saved with the connection.
Why does my account not appear after I grant access?
Either your login on the platform has no access to that account, or the access was given after you connected. Connect again with a login that has access. For Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts, also check which Pages and accounts Windsor.ai can use under Business Integrations in Facebook.
Can I connect several accounts from the same platform?
Yes. After you grant access, every account your login can open is listed, and you can select one, several or all of them. For accounts under a different login, grant access again with that login, or send the owner an authorization link.
