Stop building flows by hand, node by node, in the Klaviyo flow editor. Describe the flow you want, the trigger, the delay, the email, the branch, and let ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot build it for you, using Windsor.ai’s live connection to your Klaviyo account (see: How to Connect Klaviyo to ChatGPT, or the Claude version).
What “write actions” means here
Windsor.ai doesn’t just pull your Klaviyo data into a chat window for analysis. It can act on Klaviyo directly: create a complete flow from a trigger and a sequence of steps, then move that flow from draft to a supervised test run to fully live, all from a prompt.
Is this automatic, or only when I ask?
To be clear: this is prompt-triggered, not autonomous monitoring. Nothing runs, sends, or changes status on its own. Your assistant only creates or updates a flow when you ask it to, in that conversation, at that moment.
What you can do with your Klaviyo account
Klaviyo supports 2 write actions through Windsor. Here’s the full list:
| What you can ask for | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create flow | Builds a full Klaviyo flow: a trigger (a metric event, like “started checkout,” or a profile joining a list), followed by a sequence of steps, a time delay, a templated email send, an SMS send, or a conditional split that routes profiles down different paths based on a filter. The flow is created in draft status, so nothing sends until you activate it. |
| Update flow status | Moves a flow between three states: draft (off, nobody enters), manual (profiles enter, but every message holds for a human to approve before it sends), and live (fully automatic). |
A few things worth knowing before you build: email steps send from an existing Klaviyo template, your assistant wires the flow together, it doesn’t write the email copy inside this action. Klaviyo also rate-limits flow creation to roughly 100 per day, so this is built for deliberate flow design, not mass-generating flows unattended. For the exact parameters each action takes, see the full list of available write actions, kept live and up to date from the API.
Turn a data gap into a flow, same conversation
Ask your assistant to pull last month’s checkout data, spot how many people abandoned a cart without completing purchase, and build the flow on the spot.
Pull last month's checkout data and tell me how many people started
checkout but didn't complete it. Then create a flow triggered by
"Started Checkout": wait 2 hours, send the Cart Reminder template, wait
24 more hours, send the Last Chance template. Leave it in draft.
Branch by value, not just by time
Ask for a win-back flow that splits high-value customers from everyone else.
Create a win-back flow triggered by profiles added to the "Lapsed 60
Days" list. Split by lifetime spend above $500: route those profiles to
the VIP Outreach email template, and everyone else to the Discount
Offer template. Keep it in draft until I review it.
That’s a flow structure, trigger, conditional split, two separate template sends, that would normally take real time to wire up manually in the editor.
Soft-launch before you trust it
Set a brand-new flow to manual first, watch real profiles move through it with every send held for approval, then flip it live once you trust it.
Set the Cart Reminder flow to manual so profiles start entering it but
every email waits for my approval before sending.
A few days later, once you’ve checked the approved sends look right:
Set the Cart Reminder flow to live.
⚠️ Guardrails worth knowing. Every flow is created in draft, nothing sends the moment it’s built. Moving to manual gets you real profiles and a human checkpoint before anything reaches an inbox, the safer way to prove out a new flow before trusting it to run unattended. And because email content comes from templates you already control in Klaviyo, there’s no risk of your assistant inventing message copy that never gets a human look.

FAQs
Can a flow go live by accident?
No. A flow is created in draft and stays there until you explicitly ask to change its status. Moving straight to live is a separate, deliberate action, most teams will want to pass through manual first.
What can trigger a flow?
Either a metric event a profile performs (like placing an order or starting checkout) or a profile being added to a specific list.
Is there a limit on how many flows I can create?
Yes, Klaviyo rate-limits flow creation to about 100 per day through this connector.
Do I need to write code or set up an MCP server myself?
No. Connect your Klaviyo account to Windsor.ai once, and ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot can all use the same connection through Windsor’s MCP server.
Does this work with ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot equally?
Yes. Windsor.ai’s MCP connection exposes the same write actions regardless of which assistant you’re using.
