Connect Magento to Cursor
Connect your Magento data to Cursor with the Windsor.ai connector, so the dashboards and scripts Cursor builds use your real order, product and customer data.
Ask Cursor for a product sales canvas, a low-stock alert script or a weekly revenue report built on your own Order Item SKU, Catalog Product Qty and Order Grand Total fields.
Forget CSVs. Stop copy/paste. Connect in minutes. No code required.
Build store reports on live Magento data in your Cursor project
Cursor works inside your project, so what it builds from your Magento data stays with you as files, scripts and canvases you can rerun. Key use cases:
Rank products by revenue
Cursor can build a canvas of Order Item SKU by Order Item Row Total and Order Item Qty Ordered, so the best and worst sellers are on one screen.
Get warned before stock runs out
Ask for a script that compares Catalog Product Qty with recent Order Item Qty Ordered per SKU and lists products that will sell out within two weeks.
Follow revenue, discounts and refunds
Order Grand Total, Order Discount Amount and Order Total Refunded by week in one chart show what discounts and refunds take out of sales.
Compare guest and registered buyers
Cursor can split orders by Order Customer Is Guest and Order Customer Group Id in a report you rerun each month.
Using Windsor.ai to connect data from Magento to Cursor
Without Windsor.ai, Cursor builds on placeholder numbers or on CSV exports you paste into the project. Windsor MCP gives Cursor live Magento data with the real field names, so the dashboards and scripts it writes match your account.
Connect in minutes, then ask Cursor to build something with your Magento data.
How to connect Magento to Cursor with Windsor.ai
Explore a step-by-step guide to add Windsor MCP to Cursor and start building on your Magento data.

FAQs
What Magento data can Cursor use?
Windsor.ai gives Cursor access to 218 Magento fields. These are some of the groups; the Magento field reference lists all of them:
- Orders: Order Increment Id(order id), Order Created At, Order Status, Order Grand Total, Order Subtotal, Order Discount Amount, Order Shipping Amount, Order Tax Amount, Order Total Refunded.
- Order items: Order Item Name, Order Item SKU, Order Item Qty Ordered, Order Item Price, Order Item Row Total.

- Catalog: Catalog Product Name, Catalog Product SKU, Catalog Product Price, Catalog Product Qty, Catalog Product Is In Stock, Catalog Product Category Names.
What prompts can I use to build with Magento data in Cursor?
Cursor works best when you ask it to build something with a clear output. Each of these names the fields to use and the file or canvas you want back:
-
Pull Order Item SKU, Order Item Name, Order Item Qty Ordered and Order Item Row Total for the last 30 days. Build a canvas that ranks SKUs by revenue, shows each SKU's share of total revenue, and lists the 10 SKUs whose revenue fell most compared with the 30 days before.
-
Pull Catalog Product SKU, Catalog Product Name, Catalog Product Qty and Catalog Product Is In Stock, plus Order Item SKU and Order Item Qty Ordered for the last 28 days. Write a Python script that calculates average daily units per SKU, estimates days of stock left, and writes low_stock.csv with the products under 14 days.
-
Pull Order Created At, Order Grand Total, Order Subtotal, Order Discount Amount, Order Shipping Amount and Order Total Refunded for this quarter. Build a weekly chart of revenue with discounts and refunds as separate series, and add a table of the weeks where refunds were above 5% of revenue.
-
Pull Order Increment Id(order id), Order Customer Is Guest, Order Customer Group Id and Order Grand Total for the last 90 days. Write a script that compares order count and average order value for guests and each customer group, and saves the result to customers.csv.
-
Write a script that pulls yesterday's orders with Order Status and Order Grand Total, counts orders and revenue per status, and writes daily_orders.md. Keep it in the project so I can run it every morning.
Can Cursor turn Magento data into dashboards I can share?
Yes. Cursor can render a dashboard, analysis or report as a canvas next to the chat, and it saves the canvas so you can reopen and rerun it later with fresh data. On paid Cursor plans you can publish a canvas to a read-only share link that members of your Cursor team can open. See the Cursor canvas documentation for the current plan requirements.
Can Cursor change my Magento data?
No. The Magento connector is read-only. Cursor reads your Magento data through Windsor MCP and can write scripts, files and reports in your project, but it cannot create, edit or delete anything in Magento.
Can I combine Magento data with other sources in Cursor?
Yes. Windsor.ai supports 350+ data sources, so you can connect Magento alongside tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads or GA4 and ask Cursor to work with them together. For example, ask Cursor to join Magento Order Grand Total by day with Google Ads Cost and Facebook Ads Amount Spent, and write a script that reports revenue per unit of ad spend by week.
How do I add Windsor MCP to Cursor?
Open Settings in Cursor Desktop, go to Tools & Integrations → New MCP Server, and add Windsor to mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"windsor": {
"url": "https://mcp.windsor.ai/"
}
}
}
Save the file, click Authenticate next to Windsor in your MCP list, and sign in to Windsor.ai in the browser.
Do I need to code to connect Magento to Cursor?
No. The connection takes no code: connect Magento in Windsor.ai, add Windsor to Cursor’s MCP settings, and sign in. After that you describe what you want in plain language, and Cursor writes and runs the code. You can read and edit everything it produces.
How much does it cost to integrate Magento with Cursor using Windsor.ai?
The free forever plan covers 1 data source, so connecting Magento on its own costs nothing and needs no credit card. Combining Magento with other sources, such as Google Ads or Facebook Ads, needs a paid plan: $19/month for 3 sources or $99/month for 7. Cursor is billed separately by Cursor. See the pricing page.
