Gemini Enterprise can reach monday.com data in two ways: through Google’s own Monday connector, or through the Windsor.ai data store you add in Step 2. Gemini inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Slides has a third, separate monday.com connection.
Google’s Monday connector can change your boards, for example create an item or update a column value. Windsor.ai only reads monday.com data (see the Windsor.ai write actions list), and puts it in the same questions as your ad accounts, CRM and analytics sources.
Connect monday.com to Windsor.ai on the free forever plan, no credit card: onboard.windsor.ai/app/monday.
Three ways to use monday.com data in Gemini
| Route | Where you use it | Read or write | Fits when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google’s Monday connector | Gemini Enterprise web app | Read and write: create items, boards, groups and columns, change column values | Your questions and changes are about monday.com alone |
| Windsor.ai data store (this guide) | Gemini Enterprise web app; the same Windsor.ai account also works in Claude and ChatGPT | Read only | You want monday.com next to Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, HubSpot or other sources in one answer |
| monday.com in Gemini for Google Workspace | Gemini side panel in Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Slides | Read only (monday.com describes it as an early alpha) | You want board data inside a document or sheet you are writing |
Sources: Google’s Monday connector documentation, Google’s Workspace announcement of 15 September 2026 and monday.com’s help article on the Workspace connection, read on 15 October 2026. Windsor.ai has no write actions for monday.com (see the list of write actions).
The two Gemini Enterprise routes can sit in the same app. Google recommends connecting only one data store with actions from each connector type to an app, and the Monday and Windsor.ai connectors are different types.
Before you start
- Gemini Enterprise Standard, Plus, Frontline or Pay-as-you-go, set up in the Google Cloud console. The Business edition has its own setup and a smaller selection of connectors.
- A Google Cloud project under your organization (Google Workspace or Cloud Identity), with billing turned on and Gemini Enterprise activated. A project created with a personal Gmail account does not work.
- The Discovery Engine Editor role on that project, or the Owner role.
- A monday.com login that can see the boards you want to analyze.
- A Windsor.ai account. The free forever plan covers one data source. Questions that combine monday.com with other sources need a paid plan after the first 30 days: from $19 a month (billed annually) for 3 sources, or $99 a month for 7. See Windsor.ai pricing.
Step 1: Connect monday.com to Windsor.ai
- Open onboard.windsor.ai/app/monday and sign in or create an account.
- Click the monday.com connect button and sign in to monday.com.
- Approve the access request and select the account you want to use.
Step 2: Add Windsor.ai to Gemini Enterprise
You do this once per Google Cloud project, and every source you connect in Windsor.ai later uses the same data store. The full Gemini Enterprise setup guide covers each screen, encryption keys and error messages.
- In the Google Cloud console, open Gemini Enterprise, click Data stores, then Create data store. Under Third-party data sources, find Windsor.ai and click Add data source.
- Under Entities to search, select Connectors. On the Actions step, reading monday.com data works with both actions off. Turn on Execute Action only if you also connect a source that has write actions, such as Google Ads.
- Select the location. Google recommends global unless your organization must keep data in the US or EU, and the location cannot be changed later. If the console asks you to configure access control, choose Google Identity if your company signs in with Google accounts.
- Keep General pricing, click Create, and wait until the data store shows Active. Google bills the data store to your Google Cloud billing account, separately from Windsor.ai.
- Open a Gemini Enterprise app in the same location, or create one under Apps. Click Connected data stores, then Add existing data stores, select the Windsor.ai data store and click Connect.
- Open the app’s web app URL. Click the puzzle piece icon below the Ask Gemini Enterprise box, click Authorize next to Windsor.ai, then Allow Access, and sign in to Windsor.ai. Click Finish and check that the Windsor.ai toggle is on.

The Windsor.ai data store is in public preview under Google’s Pre-GA terms. Data can take about 10 minutes to appear after you connect the data store to the app.
Step 3: Check the connection with a board you know
Pick a board where you know roughly how many items there are, and ask:
Using Windsor.ai, list my monday.com boards with the number of items on each, and show the items on the [board name] board grouped by group, with their status.
Compare the counts with the board in monday.com. If the app also has Google’s Monday connector, start the question with “Using Windsor.ai” so you know which source the answer came from.
What monday.com data Gemini can use through Windsor.ai
| Area | Examples of fields |
|---|---|
| Boards | Name, description, kind, state, columns, groups, owners, workspace, last update |
| Items | Name, board, group, state, column values (your Status, Person, Date and other columns, in one field per item), creator, created and updated time, parent item for subitems |
| Updates | Text of each update, item, creator, created time, replies |
| Activity logs | Event, entity, board, item and time of each change |
| People and teams | User name, title, guest or member, enabled; team names and members |
| Workspaces and tags | Workspace name, kind and state; tag names |
Because column values arrive together for each item, a question that filters on a column works best when you give the column’s name exactly as it appears on the board. The full list is in the monday.com field reference.
Questions to ask Gemini about your monday.com data
Items nobody has touched
On the [board name] board, list items not updated in the last 14 days whose Status is not Done. Show the group, the Person column and the last update date.
Workload by person
Across the boards in the [workspace name] workspace, count open items per person in the Person column, split by Status. Who has more than ten items marked Working on it?
What changed last week
From the activity logs, summarize what changed on the [board name] board in the last 7 days: items created, status changes and items moved between groups.
Blocked work and its comments
List items with Status Stuck and show the most recent update on each, so I can see what is blocking them.
monday.com next to your marketing data
Marketing teams often track campaign launches on a monday.com board. With Google Ads or Meta Ads connected in the same Windsor.ai account, one question can line the board up with spend:
Take the items on the [campaign board] with a launch date in the last 60 days. For each one, show Google Ads and Meta Ads spend and conversions in the 14 days before and after the launch date.
Looking back 60 days, plus the 14 days before the earliest launch, goes past the last 30 days of data on the free forever plan and needs a paid plan.
This works when the board has a date column and the item names match your campaign names closely enough for Gemini to pair them. Check a few pairs by hand before you rely on the summary. Combining sources needs a paid Windsor.ai plan (see Before you start).
Troubleshooting
The answer came from Google’s Monday connector, not Windsor.ai
When both connectors are in the app, Gemini can answer from either one. Click the puzzle piece icon from Step 2 and switch the Monday connector off while you ask, then switch it back on when you want to create or update items. Only Google’s connector can change items (Windsor.ai has no monday.com write actions), and a reply that says an item was created or updated came from it.
A board is missing from Gemini’s answers
Windsor.ai reads monday.com with the access of the user who connected it, and monday.com’s API documentation says API access follows the permissions that user has in the monday.com interface. A private board or a workspace that user cannot open is not returned. Ask the board owner to add the user, or connect monday.com with a user who already sees the board.
“You don’t have permissions to fetch Workforce Pools” during setup
The message only matters for the 3rd Party Identity option, used with providers such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID. If your company signs in with Google accounts and you selected Google Identity in Step 2, ignore it and continue (see the Gemini Enterprise setup guide).
Conclusion
If your questions and changes are about monday.com alone, Google’s Monday connector is the direct route, and it can also create and update items. If you want monday.com boards in the same answer as ad spend, CRM or analytics data, connect monday.com to Windsor.ai and add the Windsor.ai data store to Gemini Enterprise as shown above.

FAQs
Can Gemini create or update monday.com items through Windsor.ai?
No. Windsor.ai reads monday.com data only, and monday.com has no entry in the Windsor.ai write actions list. To create items or change column values from Gemini Enterprise, use Google’s Monday connector.
Can I use Google's Monday connector and Windsor.ai in the same Gemini Enterprise app?
Yes. They are different connector types, and Google’s recommendation is one data store with actions per connector type in an app. Start a question with “Using Windsor.ai” when you want the answer to come from the Windsor.ai data store.
Does this work in the regular Gemini app?
No, this guide covers Gemini Enterprise (Standard, Plus, Frontline or Pay-as-you-go), set up in the Google Cloud console. The Gemini app has a separate custom apps feature for personal accounts in the US, which this guide does not cover.
Is Gemini Enterprise included in my Windsor.ai plan?
No. Google bills Gemini Enterprise licences and the data store to the billing account of your Google Cloud project. Your Windsor.ai plan is billed separately, with a free forever plan for one data source and paid plans from $19 a month (billed annually) for 3 sources.
Does Gemini Enterprise store a copy of my monday.com data?
No, not through Windsor.ai. Gemini Enterprise does not index or store the data; each question goes to Windsor.ai, which returns the answer from monday.com at that moment.
