Analyzing your TikTok Ads data tells you which creative is dying. Acting on it is where the time actually gets saved. Once TikTok Ads is connected to Windsor.ai (see: How to Connect TikTok Ads to ChatGPT, or the Claude version), Windsor’s write actions let ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot pause, enable, and rebudget your campaigns directly, not just flag what’s wrong.
Is this automatic, or only when I ask?
Worth being direct about this: write actions are prompt-triggered, not autonomous monitoring. Whichever assistant you use, it doesn’t watch your account in the background and pull a dying creative the moment its CTR drops, there’s no unattended monitoring running between conversations.
It runs the action you ask for, when you ask for it. If you want a daily fatigue check, ask for one explicitly at the start of each session rather than assuming it’s happening on its own.
What you can do with your TikTok Ads account
TikTok Ads supports 8 write actions through Windsor, covering campaigns, ad groups, and ads. Here’s the full list:
| What you can ask for | Level | Reversible? |
|---|---|---|
| Enable a campaign | Campaign | Yes |
| Pause a campaign | Campaign | Yes |
| Set a campaign budget | Campaign | Yes |
| Enable an ad group | Ad group | Yes |
| Pause an ad group | Ad group | Yes |
| Set an ad group budget | Ad group | Yes |
| Enable an ad | Ad | Yes |
| Pause an ad | Ad | Yes |
For the exact parameters each action takes, see the full write actions reference, kept live and up to date from the API, or TikTok Ads’ action list specifically at connectors.windsor.ai/tiktok/actions.
TikTok’s write actions don’t cover creating new campaigns, ad groups, or ads, or editing an existing ad’s creative. Given how fast TikTok creative cycles move, that means your assistant is best used here to catch and stop fatigue fast, not to build new campaigns from scratch.
Catch creative fatigue and act on it in the same breath
Show me frequency and CTR for the last 7 days vs. the 7 days before for
all active ads. Which ones have rising frequency and falling CTR?
Pause the ones that show a clear fatigue pattern, and show me their
numbers first before you do.
Pause what’s burning budget with nothing to show for it
Find every ad group with CPA above $40 and zero conversions in the last
7 days. Show me spend and impressions for each one first, then pause
the ones I confirm.
⚠️ TikTok fatigue moves fast. Frequency and CTR can flip in days, not weeks, on this platform. That’s exactly why confirming before pausing matters: your assistant shows you the numbers first, so a short dip doesn’t get mistaken for real fatigue and cost you a still-working ad.
Rebudget toward your best performer
Compare ROAS across all active ad groups for the last 14 days.
Cut the budget on my lowest-ROAS ad group by 25%, and add that amount
to my highest-ROAS one. Confirm the exact before/after budget for both
before applying it.
Re-enable an ad once you’ve refreshed the creative
I've replaced the creative on ad [ad name]. Turn it back on, and remind
me to check its 2-second view rate again in 3 days.
Turn a campaign back on after a policy fix
Our campaign "Holiday Promo" got flagged and paused for a policy
issue. That's fixed now, turn it back on.
Pause a whole ad group, not just one ad
Pause the ad group "US - iOS - 18-24" entirely, not just individual
ads in it. It's been unprofitable for 10 days straight.
FAQs
Does it monitor my campaigns and act automatically?
No, in any of the three. Write actions are prompt-triggered: your assistant acts when you ask it to, in that conversation. It doesn’t run in the background or act on its own, so catching fatigue between sessions still means asking it to check.
Will it pause an ad or change a budget without me approving it first?
No. Whichever assistant you’re using, it always confirms the exact change, the specific campaign, ad group, or ad, and the numbers behind it, before running it.
Do I need to write code or set up an MCP server myself?
No. Write actions work directly through Windsor’s native app or connector in ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot, the same connection you use for reading data.
Can it create new TikTok campaigns or ads?
Not yet, in any of the three. Today’s write actions cover status and budget on campaigns, ad groups, and ads you’ve already built, not creating new ones.
Are Windsor's write actions reversible?
Status changes (enable/pause) can be reversed anytime. Budget changes can be set back manually, your assistant shows you the before/after amount so reversing is a simple follow-up.
Is there any difference in what I can do between ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot?
No. All three connect through the same free Windsor MCP server and get the same read and write capabilities for TikTok Ads. The only difference is the one-time connection step, which follows each assistant’s own native app or connector flow.
