Date and Time

  1. DATE: Calculate a pre-specified date as output in datetime format:
    DATE(<year>, <month>, <day>)
    
  2. DATEVALUE: Convert the format of the date from text to datetime:
    DATEVALUE(date_text)
  3. TODAY: Shows the current date as output:
    TODAY()
  4. WEEKDAY: Calculate a number ( 1 to 7) corresponding to the day of the week of a date:

  5. HOUR: current hour in the form of a number ( 0 for 12:00 A.M. and 23 for 11:00 P.M.) :

  1. CONTAINS: This return a Boolean value ( True OR False)

Logical Functions

  1. AND: Checks whether both arguments are TRUE, and returns TRUE if both arguments are TRUE. Otherwise returns false:

  2. NOT: Changes FALSE to TRUE, or TRUE to FALSE:

  3. OR: Checks whether one of the arguments is TRUE to return TRUE. The function returns FALSE if both arguments are FALSE:

  4. SWITCH: Evaluates an expression against a list of values and returns one of multiple possible result expressions:

  5. IF: Checks a condition, and returns one value when it’s TRUE, otherwise it returns a second value:

Mathematical & Trigonometric Functions

  1. ABS: Returns the absolute value of a number:
    ABS()
  2. ACOS: Returns the absolute value of a number:
    ACOS(number)
  3. CEILING: Rounds a number up, to the nearest integer or to the nearest multiple of significance:
    CEILING(, )
  4. COMBIN: Returns the number of combinations for a given number of items. Use COMBIN to determine the total possible number of groups for a given number of items:
    COMBIN(number, number_chosen)
  5. CURRENCY: Evaluates the argument and returns the result as currency data type:
    CURRENCY()

 

Statistical Functions

  1. ADDCOLUMNS: Adds calculated columns to the given table or table expression:
    ADDCOLUMNS(, , [, , ]…)
  2. AVERAGE: Returns the average (arithmetic mean) of all the numbers in a column:
    AVERAGE()
  3. AVERAGEA: Returns the average (arithmetic mean) of the values in a column. Handles text and non-numeric values:
    AVERAGEA()
  4. BETA.INV: Returns the inverse of the beta cumulative probability density function (BETA.DIST), If probability = BETA.DIST(x,…TRUE), then BETA.INV(probability,…) = x. The beta distribution can be used in project planning to model probable completion times given an expected completion time and variability:
    BETA.INV(probability,alpha,beta,[A],[B])
  5. CHISQ.INV: Returns the inverse of the left-tailed probability of the chi-squared distribution.The chi-squared distribution is commonly used to study variation in the percentage of something across samples, such as the fraction of the day people spend watching television:
    CHISQ.INV(probability,deg_freedom)

Text Functions

  1. BLANK: Returns a blank
    BLANK()
  2. CODE: returns a numeric value(code) corresponding to the first character in the input text string:
    CODE(text)
  3. CONCATENATE: Joins two text strings into one text string:
    CONCATENATE(, )
  4. EXACT: Compares two text strings and returns TRUE if they are exactly the same, otherwise returns FALSE. EXACT is case-sensitive but ignores formatting differences. EXACT is case-sensitive:
    EXACT(,)
  5. FIND: Returns the starting position of one text string within another text string. FIND is case-sensitive:
    FIND(, [, [][, ]])
