To connect Google Business Profile to Gemini Enterprise, sign in to Business Profile in Windsor.ai and add Windsor.ai as a data store in the Google Cloud console. Once it is set up, you can ask Gemini about every location you manage: calls, direction requests, search keywords and reviews. You can also have it reply to reviews or update hours after you confirm each change.

Google also offers its own Business Profile connection in the Gemini app. That connection works for one verified profile on a personal Google account, and it is not available in the European Economic Area or the UK. The Windsor.ai route below is for teams that manage several locations, work in Gemini Enterprise, or want Business Profile data next to Google Ads or GA4.

Which route fits your setup

Gemini app with Google’s Business Profile connection Gemini Enterprise with Windsor.ai
Profiles One verified profile per account Every location the connected Google account can access
Google account Personal account only Your organization’s Google Cloud project and Workspace or Cloud Identity accounts
Regions Not available in the EEA or the UK Data store locations: global, US or EU
Other data in the same answer Business Profile only Any source connected to Windsor.ai, such as Google Ads, GA4 or Search Console
Changes to the listing Hours, menus, photos, attributes, contact info, posts, drafting or deleting review replies Posts, review replies, photos, description, website, phone, hours, special hours, categories, services, service area, attributes, address, open status

If you own a single café and use a personal Google account outside Europe, Google’s own connection is the shorter setup. For an agency, a franchise or a multi-location team, the Windsor.ai route reads all locations at once.

Before you start

  • Gemini Enterprise Standard, Plus, Frontline or Pay-as-you-go, set up in the Google Cloud console. The Business edition has its own setup with a smaller choice of connectors.
  • A Google Cloud project that belongs to your organization, with billing turned on and Gemini Enterprise activated. A project created with a personal Gmail account cannot configure the access control the data store needs.
  • The Discovery Engine Editor role on that project for the person who creates the data store.
  • A Google account that manages your Business Profile locations, as owner or manager.
  • A Windsor.ai account. The free forever plan covers one data source, Business Profile included, with no credit card. To ask about Business Profile next to Google Ads or GA4 after the first 30 days, paid plans start at $19/month for 3 sources or $99/month for 7, billed annually (pricing).

Gemini Enterprise and the data store are billed by Google, separately from your Windsor.ai plan.

Step 1: Connect Google Business Profile to Windsor.ai

  1. Open onboard.windsor.ai/app/google_my_business and sign in to Windsor.ai, or create a free account.
  2. Sign in with the Google account that manages your listings and allow access.
  3. Select the locations you want Gemini to see. You can add more later; Gemini reads whatever is selected in Windsor.ai at the time you ask.

Step 2: Add Windsor.ai to Gemini Enterprise

This step is done once per Google Cloud project, usually by whoever administers Gemini Enterprise. The condensed steps are below, and our Gemini Enterprise setup guide shows every screen.

  1. In the Google Cloud console, open Gemini Enterprise, then Data stores, and click Create data store. Under third-party data sources, choose Windsor.ai.
  2. Under Entities to search, select Connectors. On the Actions step, select Execute Action if you want Gemini to reply to reviews or edit listings. Reading data works without it.
  3. Pick the location: global (Google’s recommendation), us or eu. It cannot be changed later. Set up access control with Google Identity if the console asks.
  4. Keep General pricing and click Create. Wait until the data store state changes from Creating to Active.
  5. Open your Gemini Enterprise app in the same location, or create one, then go to Connected data stores and add the Windsor.ai data store.
  6. Open the app’s web URL, click the puzzle piece icon below the prompt box, click Authorize next to Windsor.ai and sign in. To allow changes to your listings, turn on Write actions in the Windsor.ai window. Check that the Windsor.ai toggle is on.

Authorizing Windsor.ai from the Gemini Enterprise web app

The Windsor.ai data store is in public preview under Google’s pre-GA terms. If this is the first Gemini Enterprise app in the project, Google adds a 30-day Gemini Enterprise licence with it.

Step 3: Check the connection

In the Gemini Enterprise web app, ask:

Which Google Business Profile locations are connected to my Windsor.ai account? Show impressions, calls and direction requests for each one for the last 30 days.

Gemini should list your locations with their numbers. If it answers without your data, open the puzzle piece menu and check that Windsor.ai is authorized and switched on.

What Gemini can read from Google Business Profile

Windsor.ai returns 142 Business Profile fields. These are the ones most questions use; the full list is on the Google Business Profile fields page.

Area Fields What they hold
Visibility impressions, impressions_desktop_search, impressions_mobile_search, impressions_desktop_maps, impressions_mobile_maps Times the listing was shown, split by Search or Maps and desktop or mobile
Actions call_clicks, website_clicks, direction_requests, business_bookings, clicks Calls, website visits, direction requests and bookings from the listing; clicks is calls plus website clicks
Search keywords search_keyword, search_keyword_value, search_keyword_threshold The words people searched before they found you, with unique users per keyword per month. Google gives a threshold instead of a number for low-volume keywords
Reviews review_star_rating, review_comment, review_reply_comment, review_average_rating_total, review_total_count Each review, its stars and your reply, plus the overall rating and count
Posts and photos post_summary, post_state, post_topic_type, media_category, media_view_count Your posts and their status (live, rejected, processing), and views per photo
Listing details location_title, location_primary_category_name, location_regular_hours_periods, location_service_area, location_attributes The listing as it stands now, for checking before any change

Questions to ask about your locations

Performance across locations

  • Rank my locations by direction requests per 1,000 impressions for September, and show the change against August.
  • Which locations had more impressions this month but fewer calls and website clicks? Show both numbers for each.
  • Compare mobile Maps impressions with desktop Search impressions per location for the last 90 days.

Comparing September with August, like the 90-day and quarterly questions on this page, needs a paid plan, because the free forever plan returns Business Profile data for the last 30 days only.

Search keywords

  • For each location, list the 10 search keywords with the most unique users last month. Mark the ones that contain our business name.
  • Which keywords appear for one location but not for the others in the same city?

Reviews

  • List every review from the last 30 days with 3 stars or fewer that has no reply yet, grouped by location.
  • Summarize what 1 and 2 star reviews mention most often this quarter, with the number of reviews for each topic.

Listing checks

  • Show the regular hours, primary category and website of every location in one table, and flag any location with no website.

Changes Gemini can make through Windsor.ai

With Execute Action enabled in the data store and Write actions turned on in Windsor.ai, Gemini can make these changes. It shows each request and waits for you to confirm it before anything runs.

  • Publish or edit a “What’s New” post, with an optional photo and button (Book, Order, Shop, Learn more, Sign up or Call).
  • Reply to a review, or replace your existing reply.
  • Add a photo to the gallery, including a new cover or profile photo.
  • Update the description, website or primary phone number.
  • Set regular hours, special hours for holidays, or mark the location as temporarily closed.
  • Replace the categories, the list of services, the service area (up to 20 places) or individual attributes.
  • Replace the address. Google may ask the business to verify again after an address change, which can take the listing offline. Windsor.ai runs this action only after you approve that risk explicitly.

Google may review some edits, such as category and contact changes, before they appear on the listing. A prompt that combines reading and writing looks like this:

Draft a reply to each unanswered review of 3 stars or fewer from the last 14 days. Show me the drafts first, and post only the ones I approve.

Every change Windsor.ai supports, by platform, is listed on the write actions page.

Use Business Profile data with other sources

When GA4, Google Ads or Search Console are also connected to Windsor.ai, Gemini can answer with listing data and website or ad data side by side.

  • With GA4: compare website_clicks from each listing with the sessions GA4 records from that location’s landing page, to see how many listing clicks reach the site.
  • With Google Ads: check whether locations with lower Maps impressions this month are the ones where local campaigns spent less.
  • With Search Console: set the search keywords from the listing next to the queries that bring people to your location pages.

Blending sources needs a plan with more than one data source after the first 30 days (see Before you start).

Troubleshooting

A location is missing from the list in Windsor.ai

Windsor.ai can only list the locations that the Google account you signed in with can manage, as owner or manager. Sign in with the Google account that has one of those roles, or ask an owner to add your account as a manager in Business Profile (Google’s guide to owners and managers). If your locations are spread across two Google accounts, connect the second Google account in Windsor.ai as well. After your first 30 days, the free forever plan covers one account, which for Business Profile means up to 10 locations, and more locations need a paid plan (how Windsor.ai counts accounts).

A location returns no performance numbers or reviews

Google provides performance data only for verified Business Profiles (Google’s performance help page), and its API returns reviews only for verified locations. Finish verification in Business Profile, then ask Gemini again.

Last month’s search keywords are empty

Google updates the search keyword data at the start of each month, and it can take up to 5 days to appear (Google’s performance help page). In the first days of a month, ask about the month before last, or wait until the data for last month is in.

Gemini reads your reviews but does not post the reply

Posting needs two settings. In the Google Cloud console, open the data store and click Actions: Execute Action must be enabled, and if you skipped it when you created the data store, click Reload custom actions to change the selection. In Windsor.ai, Write actions must be on; the setting appears when you authorize (Step 2) and applies only to your own Windsor.ai user.

Gemini says an account is not available

Gemini reads the data connected under the Windsor.ai login you signed in with when you clicked Authorize. If a teammate connected the locations under their own login, yours does not include them. Open the Data tab of the Windsor.ai login you authorized with, and connect the locations there if they are not listed (our “Account is not available” guide).

Conclusion

After the two connection steps, Gemini Enterprise answers questions about every Business Profile location you manage, and it can post, reply and update listings after you confirm each change. Google’s own Gemini app connection remains the simpler option for one profile on a personal account outside Europe.

FAQs

Can I connect Google Business Profile to Gemini without Windsor.ai?

Yes, in the Gemini app. Google’s own connection works at gemini.google.com for owners or managers of one verified profile who sign in with a personal Google account. It is not available in the European Economic Area or the UK, and work or school accounts are not supported. For several locations, Gemini Enterprise or data from other sources, use the Windsor.ai route in this guide.
