Your Google Business Profile is where local reputation actually gets decided: reviews, hours, photos, service listings. Reading it tells you what customers think. Acting on it, replying, fixing a stale hour, publishing an update, is where it actually moves the needle.
Once your profile is connected to Windsor.ai (see: How to Connect Google Business Profile to ChatGPT, or the Claude version), Windsor’s write actions let ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot reply to reviews, fix listing details, and publish updates directly, not just tell you what needs attention.
Is this automatic, or only when I ask?
Worth being direct about this: write actions are prompt-triggered, not autonomous monitoring. Whichever assistant you use, it doesn’t watch your locations in the background and reply to a one-star review the moment it lands, there’s no unattended monitoring running between conversations.
It runs the action you ask for, when you ask for it. If you want reviews checked and answered regularly, ask for it explicitly at the start of each session rather than assuming it’s happening on its own.
What you can do with your Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile supports 13 write actions through Windsor, covering reviews, local posts, hours, and listing details, across every connected location. Here’s the full list:
| What you can ask for | Level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to a review | Review | Replying again replaces the existing reply |
| Create a local post | Location | Text, optional photo, optional call-to-action button |
| Update a local post | Location | Edit an existing post’s text, photo, or CTA |
| Upload a photo | Location | Cover, profile, or gallery categories |
| Update location info | Location | Description, website, phone number |
| Set regular hours | Location | Replaces the full weekly schedule |
| Set special hours | Location | Holiday/exception dates, replaces the full list |
| Set open status | Location | OPEN or temporarily closed |
| Update categories | Location | Replaces the full category list |
| Update attributes | Location | Only the attributes you name are touched |
| Update service items | Location | Replaces the full service list |
| Update service area | Location | Replaces the full list of places served |
| Update address | Location | Can trigger Google re-verification; requires explicit confirmation |
For the exact parameters each action takes, see the full list of available write actions, kept live and up to date from the API. A handful of these, hours, categories, service items, and service area, replace the entire list rather than adding to it, so your assistant should read the current values back to you before it writes anything over them.
Catch up on a month of reviews in one pass
Show me every review from the last 30 days across all my locations that
I haven't replied to yet, sorted by rating, lowest first.
Draft a reply for each one, then post them once I've confirmed the wording.
Spot and fix stale hours or attributes
Check the regular hours and attributes on all 4 locations against what
I tell you our actual current hours and amenities are. Flag any location
that's out of date, then update just the ones that need it.
⚠️ Read before you overwrite. Hours, categories, service items, and service area are full replacements, not edits. Your assistant should show you the current list and the proposed new one side by side before applying the change, so an old hour or service doesn’t quietly disappear.
Publish a local update post
Write a local post announcing our fall menu launch, with a "Learn more"
button linking to our site. Keep it under 400 characters. Show me the
draft before posting.
Keep your service list current
We've added weekend appointments and dropped walk-in consultations.
Read back our current service list first, then update it to reflect
that change without losing anything else we offer.

FAQs
Does it monitor for new reviews and reply automatically?
No, in any of the three. Write actions are prompt-triggered: your assistant acts when you ask it to, in that conversation. There’s no background monitoring between sessions.
Will it change my hours or reply to a review without me approving it first?
No. Whichever assistant you’re using, it shows you the exact reply or the exact before/after values before running the change, especially important here since several actions replace a full list rather than editing part of it.
Do I need to write code or set up an MCP server myself?
No. Connect your Google Business Profile locations to Windsor.ai once, and ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot can all use the same connection through Windsor’s MCP server.
Can it create a new location or delete my listing?
No. These write actions manage existing, verified locations, posts, and reviews. Creating new locations or removing a listing isn’t covered.
Are Windsor's write actions reversible?
Most are. You can set hours, status, or attributes back, and post a new reply to replace one. The one exception is updating your address, which can trigger Google’s re-verification flow and temporarily unpublish the listing, which is why it requires explicit confirmation of that risk before it runs.
Is there any difference in what I can do between ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot?
No. The write actions come from Windsor’s MCP server, not from the assistant, so the same 13 actions are available in all three.
