To connect a Facebook Page to Gemini, authorize the Page in Windsor.ai, add Windsor.ai as a data store in Gemini Enterprise, and authorize it once in the Gemini Enterprise web app. Gemini can then answer questions about your Page’s follows, post engagement, link clicks and Reels plays, using live data from Meta’s API.

Gemini has no Facebook connector of its own. Through Windsor.ai, Gemini Enterprise reads your Page’s results, and it can also publish a text, link or photo post to the Page after you confirm it.

This covers your Page’s organic results. For Meta ad campaigns, connect Facebook Ads as a separate source in Windsor.ai.

Connect your Facebook Page on the free forever plan, no credit card: onboard.windsor.ai/app/facebook_organic.

Before you start

  • Access to the Facebook Page with a role that can see its Insights, through the Facebook account you sign in with.
  • A Windsor.ai account. The free forever plan covers one data source and one account, with 30 days of history. To analyze the Page next to Instagram, Meta Ads or GA4, paid plans start at $19 a month (billed annually) for 3 sources, or $99 a month for 7. See Windsor.ai pricing.
  • Gemini Enterprise Standard, Plus, Frontline or Pay-as-you-go, set up in the Google Cloud console. The Business edition has a separate setup and fewer connectors.
  • A Google Cloud project under your organization (Google Workspace or Cloud Identity, not a personal Gmail account), with billing on, Gemini Enterprise activated and the Discovery Engine Editor role.

Google bills Gemini Enterprise and the data store separately from Windsor.ai.

Step 1: Connect the Page to Windsor.ai

  1. Go to onboard.windsor.ai/app/facebook_organic and log in or create an account.
  2. Sign in with Facebook and grant access to the Pages you manage.
  3. Select the Pages Gemini should read.

Step 2: Add Windsor.ai to Gemini Enterprise

Google calls the connection a data store. Below are the main actions; the Gemini Enterprise setup guide shows every screen and the errors you may meet.

  1. In the Google Cloud console, open Gemini Enterprise, then Data stores, then Create data store. Under Third-party data sources, find Windsor.ai and click Add data source.
  2. Under Entities to search, select Connectors. On the Actions step, select Execute Action if Gemini should be able to post to the Page. Reading works without it.
  3. Under Multi-region, keep global unless data must stay in the US or EU (this is fixed once created). Name the data store and, if asked, configure access control with Google Identity.
  4. Keep General pricing, click Create, and wait until the state is Active.
  5. In your Gemini Enterprise app, in the same location, open Connected data stores, click Add existing data stores, select the Windsor.ai data store and click Connect.
  6. Open the app’s web app URL, click the puzzle piece icon below the Ask Gemini Enterprise box, click Authorize next to Windsor.ai and then Allow Access, and sign in to Windsor.ai. For posting, turn on Write actions in the Windsor.ai window (per user). Click Finish and check that the toggle is on.

Creating the Windsor.ai data store in the Gemini Enterprise console

The Windsor.ai data store is in public preview under Google’s Pre-GA terms. The first Gemini Enterprise app in a project comes with a 30-day Gemini Enterprise licence from Google.

Step 3: Run a first check

Ask for numbers you can compare with Meta Business Suite:

For my Facebook Page, show daily follows, daily unfollows and post engagements for the last 14 days, and list the posts published on the day with the most engagements.

Facebook Page data Gemini can read

Level Fields (Windsor.ai names) What they answer
Page, per day page_daily_follows_unique, page_daily_unfollows_unique, page_follows, page_post_engagements, page_views_total, page_total_actions, page_total_media_view_unique Growth, churn and overall engagement
Page video page_video_views, page_video_views_organic, page_video_views_paid, page_video_view_time Video reach, split by paid and organic
Posts post_message, post_created_time, type, permalink_url, post_engagements, post_reactions_by_type_total, post_comments_total, post_activity_by_action_type_share Which posts get reactions, comments and shares
Post clicks post_clicks, post_clicks_by_type_link_clicks, post_clicks_by_type_photo_view, post_clicks_by_type_video_play Which posts send traffic to your site
Post viewers post_total_media_view_unique Unique viewers per post (Meta estimates this)
Reels and video fb_reels_total_plays, fb_reels_replay_count, post_video_avg_time_watched, total_video_views Plays, replays and watch time
Comments comment_text, comment_timestamp, comment_like_count, comment_reply_count, comment_is_hidden What people say under each post

Meta reports unique viewers as an estimate, and it counts total_video_views when a video plays for 3 seconds or to the end, whichever comes first. Keep both in mind before you compare Facebook numbers with another platform’s.

Prompts for your Facebook Page in Gemini

Posts that send traffic

Rank my Page posts from the last 30 days by link clicks per unique viewer. Which post types and topics send the most people to our site?

Reactions against comments

For each post in the last 30 days, compare total reactions with comments and shares. Which posts get reactions but no conversation?

Follows and unfollows by day

Show daily follows and unfollows for the last 30 days. On the three days with the most unfollows, what did we post?

Reels watch time

List my Reels from the last 60 days with total plays, replays and average watch time. Which ones were replayed most, and how long were they?

The free forever plan returns 30 days of Page data. For this 60-day question, you need a paid plan.

Comment review

Show comments from the last 7 days with the post they belong to, sorted by likes. Which questions come up more than once?

Monthly summary

Write a short report on our Facebook Page for September: follows gained and lost, post engagements, link clicks, top 5 posts by engagements, and what to post more of in October.

Post to your Page from Gemini

With Execute Action on the data store and Write actions turned on in Windsor.ai, Gemini can:

  • Publish a post to the Page’s feed with text, a link, or both.
  • Publish a photo post from a public image URL, with an optional caption.

Gemini shows each request and waits for your confirmation before it posts. For example:

Post “Our October webinar on reporting is open for registration” with the link https://example.com/webinar to our Facebook Page.

Windsor.ai cannot edit or delete Page posts, reply to comments or schedule posts. The full list by platform is on the Windsor.ai write actions page.

Analyze the Page next to other sources

With more sources connected in Windsor.ai, one question in Gemini can cover all of them:

  • Instagram Insights: compare the same content on Facebook and Instagram by engagement per viewer.
  • Meta Ads: see whether posts you boosted were already your best organic posts, and what the paid reach added.
  • GA4: match link clicks from Page posts with sessions and key events from Facebook in GA4.

Troubleshooting

Your Page is missing from the list in Windsor.ai

Facebook keeps the Page choice from your last login unless you change it. Reconnect at onboard.windsor.ai/app/facebook_organic, and when Facebook says you logged in to Windsor.ai before, click Edit previous settings (or Edit settings) and tick the Page. Your Facebook profile also needs a task on the Page: Meta’s Pages API only gives Page access to people who own the Page or can perform a task on it.

Posting to the Page fails with a permission error (#200)

Meta’s posting API needs the pages_manage_posts permission and a Facebook profile that can perform the CREATE_CONTENT, MANAGE and MODERATE tasks on the Page (Meta’s Page posts documentation). A Page admin has all three. Confirm your access level on the Page, then reconnect through Edit settings and approve every permission. If Gemini still gets the error, enable the Contact Windsor action on the data store and ask Gemini to send the error text to Windsor.ai support.

Page likes, fans by country or impressions come back empty

Meta retired these Page Insights metrics in 2025, including page_fans, page_fans_country, page_fans_city, page_impressions and page_impressions_unique, and its API no longer returns them (Meta’s deprecated metrics list). Ask for page_follows, page_daily_follows_unique and page_total_media_view_unique instead. Meta’s replacement for followers by country, page_follows_country, is not available through Windsor.ai.

Gemini cannot find your Page data right after setup

Gemini Enterprise can need around 10 minutes before a newly connected data store returns results. After that, refresh the web app and open the Windsor.ai entry under the puzzle piece icon. If it still shows Authorize, finish the authorization; if it shows a toggle, switch it on.

Next steps

Connect the Page at onboard.windsor.ai/app/facebook_organic, add the Windsor.ai data store with the Gemini Enterprise setup guide, and run the 14-day check from Step 3. The Windsor.ai prompt library has more questions. Teams on Claude can follow how to connect Facebook Page Insights to Claude, and other Gemini sources are on the Gemini Enterprise integrations page. The ChatGPT version of this setup is in how to connect Facebook Page Insights to ChatGPT.

FAQs

Does Gemini have access to Facebook?

No, not by default. Gemini Enterprise has no Facebook connector of its own. Through the Windsor.ai data store, it can read the Facebook Pages you authorize in Windsor.ai.
